All shook Up

Inspired by and featuring the songs of ELVIS PRESLEY Book by JOE DIEPIETRO

Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. It’s 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

ALL SHOOK UP is one of fairly new genre of musical theatre called the jukebox musical.  The show features a score filled with the songs made famous by the “King of Rock and Roll”, Elvis Presley.  Elvis was one of the iconic pioneers of rock music, and he maintained an astonishing popularity and influence through a career that lasted over 20 years and continues to fascinate the world even now, 40 years after his death.  The show very cleverly intertwines over 25 Elvis songs (including mega-hits and some lesser known gems) into a story that is loosely based on one of Shakespeare’s most enduring comedies, TWELFTH NIGHT.
